What Kind of Place is Tatsukushi?

Tosashimizu City, located in Kochi Prefecture, is the southernmost town in Shikoku and home to the nationally renowned Cape Ashizuri.
This area is said to be the first place in Japan to be visited by the Kuroshio Current, which brings an abundance of migratory fish, vibrant tropical species, and an astonishing 107
species of coral to these nutrient-rich waters.
Our diving center is located in an area called Tatsukushi, famous for its striking rock formations. Shaped over time by the accumulation of sandstone, mudstone, and the forces of nature, these formations extend southwest, creating a breathtaking underwater landscape.

Tatsukushi was designated as Japan’s first underwater park in 1970.
Two years later, the region became part of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park, ensuring the preservation of its pristine marine beauty.

We offer full-service boat diving experiences for certifies divers.

Solo and group divers welcome!

We can accommodate reservations from one person up to four people. Enjoy a relaxed and leisurely experience, whether diving alone or with others.

Beginner friendly!

The Tatsukushi area is particularly suited for beginners, with minimal currents and an average depth of about 15 meters.

Experience Diving

Wan to try diving but are not certified? We offer experience diving for first timers.

1 Dive: ¥14,200 (per person, tax included)

Time required: Approx. 3 hours

Health Advisory

To participate in snorkeling or diving, you must be in good health.
If you have any of the following conditions,
a doctor’s approval is required before joining:

• Cold, stuffy nose, or recent illness
• Recent hospitalization for any reason
• Respiratory or heart conditions
• Otitis media, rhinitis, or other ear/nasal issues
• Recent surgery
• Recently became ill or underwent surgery.
• Pregnancy (confirmed or suspected)
• Diabetes
• Medication dependency
• Epilepsy or other related conditions

Snorkeling Tour

Enjoy an afternoon of snorkeling off our boat!

No special preparation needed—just the same as swimming!

We provide all the necessary snorkeling equipment.
What to bring: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat, etc.

Price: ¥8,300 (price per person, boat rental and tax included)

Time required: Approx. 3 hours

License Course

We offer a license course for those who want official diving certification.

Duration: 3 days (consecutive or split over time)

Includes knowledge development, shallow water practice, and ocean training.
Prior home study is required; details will be explained upon receiving course materials.

Eligibility: Must be 10 years or older and in good health.

If you have a chronic condition or medical concerns, please consult your doctor and provide
a medical certificate. Minors require parental or guardian consent and be accompanied by a legal adult.

Course fee: ¥59,900 (tax included)

Includes course materials, equipment rental (including tank and weights), card application
fee, facility usage fee, ocean training.
